Clean Tech and Energy Efficiency Business

CREH has secured the rights to commercialize and market the following products:

MB Series: A Substitute Resin Material for ABS Plastics

ABS is one of the most commonly used resins in industries such as home appliances, electronics, automobile and toys. The annual consumption of ABS in China is estimated at over 3,800,000 MT in 2008.

The Chevron-Phillips MB Series is a line of resins targeted as substitutes for ABS to meet the needs of various industries.

These resins provide economical solutions when customers require tough, formable, and opaque parts that have high quality print surfaces or environmental stress cracking resistance (ESCR) for fatty foods and oils. MB-ABS would also bring along the following environmental benefits:

6-9% reduction in energy consumption during production

higher recycling rates

Target clients: OEM manufacturers in China - electronics, household goods, toys, construction materials industries.

NCCO (Nano Confined Catalytic Oxidation): Air Purification Technology

In April 2008 CREH entered into a five year consultancy agreement with RHT Limited, an environmental engineering firm located in Hong Kong which holds the patent rights to the Nano Confined Catalytic Oxidizer (NCCO) air sterilizing/deodorizing systems.

Pursuant to the terms of the agreement, we will seek to bring certain specific customers to RHT Limited which would in turn integrate the technology into the customer's end product. The subject technology includes features as:

  • Invented and patented by Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
  • Proven track record with successful industrial and commercial applications.
  • Technology applied and commercialized into consumer air purification products with manufacturers in China.

Target markets:  Global consumer markets for air purification and environmental products in China, Europe and North America.

Carbon Credit Consultancy & Development Business

CREH has experience in advising project owners or investors who wish to pursue carbon credits relating to their CDM projects in China. The following is a sample of past projects discussed.

Hydropower:

1.           Yizhang Dongfeng Houling Hydro-power Development Co. Ltd. (Dongfeng). Dongfeng is located in the mountainous Yizhang area of Chenzhou City, Hunan Province. Total power generating capacity is 3,200 KW. Annual power generating time in 2006 was 5,458 hours. Dongfeng is at the mid-stream of a river near a national forest park. There is one hydro-power plant of capacity 1,660 KW up stream and another of capacity 1,890 KW down stream. Dongfeng has a seasonal regulating dam of storage capacity 1.7 million cu m. Dongfeng is currently connected to the Guangdong Lianzhou Power Grid, and is expected to join the National Southern Grid in 2008.

2.           Zixing Niutouhe Hydro-power Station (Niutouhe). Niutouhe is located in the scenic Zixing area of Chenzhou City, Hunan Province. Total power generating capacity is 2,860 KW. Annual power generating time is expected to be 3,000 hours in 2007. Niutouhe is at the down-stream of a river near a lake park. There are two hydro-power plants up stream, one is the 3,575 KW Shuitou Hydro-power Station and the other is around 450 KW.

3.           Zixing Shuitou Hydro-power Station (Shuitou). Shuitou is located in the scenic Yizhang area of Chenzhou City, Hunan Province.. Total power generating capacity is 3,575 KW (two 1,600 KW and three 125 KW generators). Annual power generating time is expected to be 3,000 hours. Shuitou is at the mid-stream of a river near a lake park. There is one hydro-power plant of capacity 450 KW up stream and another (Niutouhe) of capacity 2,860 KW down stream. Shuitou has a dam of total capacity 500,000 cu m.

4.           Shuiyuandong Hydro-power Station (Shuiyuandong). Shuiyuandong is located in Lingyun County, Baise City, Guangxi Province. Total power generating capacity is 5,630 KW (two 2,500 KW and three 630 KW generators). Annual power generating time is expected to be 3,800 hours. Shuiyuandong has a dam of total capacity 3,550,000 cu m. The station is connected to the Baise City grid. Approved average tariff is RMB 0.23/KWh.

5.

Waste Heat Power Generation

1.           Shuangshan Cement. This WHPG project is located in Beijing, under the Shuangshan Cement Group. Shuangshan possesses a 1,200 ton/day clinker cement production line. This project is to make use of the waste heat resource of this production line to build a power system, which will produce 15,000 KW. The annual energy out put of the power generation is expected to be 10.212 million KWh. The construction period for this project is 9 months, and electricity will start generating from September, 2007.

2.

3.           Dazhou Steel. This WHPG project is located in Sichuan Province, under the Dazhou Steal Company. Dazhou Steel currently owns two blast furnaces, which are about 480 cubic meters. According to the technical requirements of the project, overpressure of the roof of the two blast furnaces could be used for power generation. The project includes the building of a 6,000 KW power generator. The annual energy output of the power generator is expected to be 28.02 million KWh. The construction period of this project is 11 months. All construction has now been completed, pending trial testing.  Electricity generation is expected in November, 2007.
